  •  TEA Accountability First Rating System: Superior

Continuing our long-standing tradition of excellence, Arlington Classics Academy has received a “superior” financial rating from the Texas Education Agency. With a perfect score of 100 points, ACA has earned the highest financial rating for the third year in a row. TEA released the final state’s annual FIRST ratings on November 7, 2017, for 2015/2016 school year.

The purpose of the financial accountability rating system, known as the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), is to ensure that open-enrollment charter schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices. The system is designed to encourage Texas public schools to better manage their financial resources in order to provide the maximum allocation possible for direct instructional purposes.

Our FIRST rating highlights the dedication and commitment of our staff and board of directors to be good stewards of taxpayer funding and maintain the trust of our community. A public hearing to discuss ACA’s financial integrity rating will be held on November 16, 2017, at 6:45 PM. The meeting will be held in Arlington Classics Academy’s Middle School cafeteria located at 5600 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76017.
